Notes:

This idea is based on prototype 1. This is a variation of it with the navigation system this time going vertically down the page. As with prototype 1, this design is very clear and easy to navigate around. The font used is Arial size 14.

Feedback:

I much prefer this to the previous one. There immediately appears to be far more room on the page with the buttons not dominating it. I would like to choose this one to be developed. However, I do have some more suggestions for it. On Elderfield Development logo, I think it would look better if the “Elderfield” name was in a darker colour like black and with more of a drop shadow. Another point of improvement would be to change the case of the buttons to lower case from upper case (like on persimmon home website). Also, the hover-over colours on the buttons are a little hard to see, they could do with being a little darker so they are easier to see.
